The MEC for COGHSTA Speedy Mashilo, MEC for DCSSL Jackie Macie together with Municipal Demacation Board (MDB) and other stakeholders had a meeting to discuss about the buya Umjindi matter. These comes after the board dicided not to seperate any municipality in the country including Mbombela and Umjindi municipality.
Barberton community members held two days distructive strike whereby they called up the MEC for COGHSTA to engage with the MDB for a clarity on why Umjindi must not be seperated from Mbombela municipality, then after Mashilo promised to engage with MDB and other stakeholders for better understanding on this grievances and promised to respond back quickly to the community.
Earlier today (Tuesday) MEC Mashilo engaged with stakeholders for feedback at Barberton town hall and still there is no clear indication whether the major will continue or not.
