BARBERTON: Yesterday 18 DECEMBER 2025, MEC for Mpumalanga Department of Public Works Roads and Transport Hon: Thulasizwe Thomo, MEC for the Department of Community Safty,Security and Liaison Hon. Jackie Macie and SAPS Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General (Dr) Zeph Mkhwanazi visited the Buscor Bus Depot in Barberton following a fire incident in which ten (10) buses were destroyed and they were welcomed by Buscor’s management led by the Executive Chairperson, Dr Norah fakude.
The visit forms part of government’s immediate response to the incident and was aimed at assessing the extent of the damage, engaging with BUSCOR management, and receiving a briefing on the preliminary findings regarding the possible cause of the fire.
