His grand father Mike Mogane greatly appreciated the role played by police, government stakeholders, private companies, media and the community at large in keeping them in prayer. Mogane says they are thankful that their son has been found though he is no more but they are greatful that they will lay him to rest peacefully.
According to the family’s spokesperson Thapelo Mogane the family is in preparations of his burial and community members will be informed in due time on which day he is going to be lay to rest.
Mpumalanga police says it was not an easy journey to search and find him after 9 days of searching but they kept on trying until they found him. Mpumalanga police’s Spokesperson lieutenant colonel Jabu Ndubane says Zenande was found floating in Crocodile River yesterday 16 June 2026, after one of the divers noticed a white shirt floating.
Ndubane thanked everyone who participated in the search of this young man and the police for their tireless efforts.
Chiloane went missing on Sunday 7 June 2026, when the vehicle he was travelling in with his two friends lost control at Kamagugu, Kanyamazane, and University of Mpumalanga intersection, smashed through a barrier and plunged into the river.
